Vice President of Marketing

As the Vice President of Marketing at RockWallet, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy. This position requires a dynamic, results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the blockchain and cryptocurrency market and a proven track record in leading comprehensive marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for enhancing our brand presence, driving customer acquisition, and fostering market growth. 

In this role, you will work closely with the Vice President of Product to ensure product go-to-market activity is thoroughly researched, prioritized, and aligned with the business direction. You will be responsible for implementing this strategy to bring our product portfolio to market and generate revenue. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blockchain and cryptocurrency, be a leader with a mindset of innovation and creativity and have a proven track record of developing and launching successful crypto products. Executing is critical in this fast-paced and dynamic environment where opportunities are abound. 

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is fully remote, with a preference for candidates based in Canada and EST time zone.

The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for the following duties and obligations:

Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with RockWallet’s vision and business and revenue target objectives. 
• Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability. 
• Oversee all aspects of marketing, including branding, digital marketing, customer acquisition and retention, content creation, social media, public relations, and event management. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms. 
• Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities and challenges in the cryptocurrency space. 
• Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact. 
• Establish strong relationships with media, influencers, and key industry players to enhance brand visibility and credibility. 
• Drive customer acquisition and retention through targeted campaigns and engagement strategies. 
• Regularly report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications 

• Extensive, demonstratable, high-profile experience in the cryptocurrency technology industry. 
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum of fifteen years of marketing experience, with at least ten years in a leadership role. 
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for storytelling and brand building. 
• Proficient in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms. 
• Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making. 
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving landscape and navigate ambiguity effectively. 
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to work independently and as a self-starter; adaptable and able to react quickly to changing business needs.
