I spent a decade in traditional finance before I understood why it was broken. Started on the phones at a derivatives brokerage, 250 cold calls a day, commission only. Worked my way up to Head of Desk, managing over 200 staff and trading derivatives with direct P&L responsibility. Then Associate Partner at St. James's Place, a FTSE 100 wealth manager. Then VC at Downing. I learned the whole stack, from retail client advisory to investment committee, and one thing was consistent throughout: who you knew and where you went to school mattered more than what you could actually do. That's what took me to crypto in 2021. Not the money. The architecture.

Since then I've co-founded and shipped six protocols under Modulus Studios, collectively generating over £37M in protocol revenue and hitting a combined peak market cap above $2Bn, three of which crossed $500M individually. Two of those three were bootstrapped from zero with no VC funding. The communities built them. The mechanics sustained them.

The work I'm most proud of is ERC-7621, the Basket Token Standard, which I authored and submitted to the Ethereum EIP registry. It defines how any ERC-20 token can be held within a single on-chain basket structure, with LP minting and burning for third-party contributors, weighted rebalancing for active portfolio management, and full ERC-721 transferability of fund ownership. No prior standard combined all of that. The goal was straightforward: bring fund management on-chain and remove the gatekeepers entirely.

I don't have a computer science degree. I have a track record of shipping things that work, a deep understanding of how traditional capital markets are structured and why DeFi can replace most of them, and enough scar tissue from building without institutional backing to know what execution actually looks like.
