My old laptop had one of those fancy fingerprint sensors. It was great until the day it decided to force-update the drivers, and crashed at the time it was updating the sensor's driver. So, after the reboot, it had the audacity to ask for the manual password, the problem? I had relied on my fingerprint for years and forgot the password. I was in a hurry because I used that laptop for school and desperation kicked in. After around 10 hours of research and trying several tools, I cracked it! Once I figured a reliable method out, it was as easy as forgetting a password in the first place. But here's the twist: I've been super paranoid about device security ever since then. I mean, if a desperate tech-savvy student can hack into a laptop, who knows who else can?
