My first research interest was prediction markets: the use of a group of forecasters to determine the probability of a particular event occurring. My specialty is collective intelligence and the systems that use groups to produce solutions more optimal than what any individual could have provided. These systems are enabled by decentralization, diversity, complexity, and independent decisions.
