Binance is the leading global blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider whose suite of financial products includes the world’s largest digital-asset exchange.Our mission is to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption and increase the freedom of money.If you’re looking for a fast-paced, mission-driven organization where opportunities to learn and excel are endless, then Binance is the place for you.<h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><ul><li>Ensure proper segregation and safeguarding of client funds in compliance with regulatory requirements;</li><li>Oversee and approve daily safeguarding operations and reconciliations;</li><li>Ensure CSSF reporting obligation and submissions in relation to safeguarding are completed on time;</li><li>Conduct risk assessment of the banking counterparties;</li><li>Operate safeguarding process and reconciliations;</li><li>Report to the Chief Finance Officer any relevant matters pertaining to the safeguarding of the client funds;</li><li>Prepare Management Information for Audit Risk and Compliance Committee in relation to safeguarding;</li><li>Participate and manage safeguarding audits as a key stakeholder;</li><li>Prepare and conduct training on the safeguarding regime to the staff operating the framework as well as senior management;</li><li>Ensure timely escalations in case of delays in reconciliations and any other instances of incidents;</li><li>Ensure proper record-keeping of all safeguarding activities and transactions.</li></ul></ul><h3>Requirements: </h3><ul><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.</li><li>Client Money Officer experience within an Electronic Money Institution is essential.</li><li>Demonstrated industry experience in the fintech, investment banking, or financial services sector.</li><li>Qualified accountant is preferred;</li><li>5+ years in a finance, treasury or accounting role. Strong understanding of PSRs, EMRs and AML/CFT legislation, the regulatory framework around digital assets data protection laws, and other relevant financial regulations applicable in Luxembourg and the EU.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, global organization while maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical and efficient counsel.</li><li>Exceptional communication, negotiation, and management skills.</li><li>Fluency in English is essential, French would be beneficial.</li><li>Luxembourg based.</li></ul></ul>

Client Money Officer

Binance is the leading global blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider whose suite of financial products includes the world’s largest digital-asset exchange.Our mission is to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption and increase the freedom of money.If you’re looking for a fast-paced, mission-driven organization where opportunities to learn and excel are endless, then Binance is the place for you.<h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><ul><li>Act as a finance business partner for the country/region leadership team to develop and implement both short-term and long-term strategic objectives for the company.</li><li>Oversee financial activity ensuring that all relevant requirements are compliant with local and EU regulatory standards.</li><li>Ensure the financial integrity of the company and be fully accountable for the accuracy of the company's financial statements and drive the statutory and safeguarding audits.</li><li>Provide support on all tax matters related to compliance and manage relationships with Luxembourg tax authorities, including responding to queries, managing audits, and handling any challenges, disputes, and tax litigation.</li><li>Implement and perform financial regulatory reporting to the CSSF.</li><li>Provide support for license applications and set up the optimal business entity structure in Luxembourg, considering future expansion plans.</li><li>Assist the business in analyzing and structuring commercial transactions and contractual arrangements, as well as support new business ventures, products, or services.</li><li>Provide financial oversight and drive controls in Luxembourg.</li><li>Budget, forecast, and oversee current and future investments and capital structures.</li><li>Manage the financial health of the business in the region and ensure that various key financial metrics are accurately maintained and reported.</li><li>Be aware of the law, regulation, and compliance requirements of the regulated payments industry and work closely with the company’s legal and tax teams, regulators, and law enforcement agencies as required.</li></ul></ul><h3>Requirements: </h3><ul><ul><li>10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3+ years in a Head of Finance role.</li><li>Experience in a senior financial role within a regulated institution is essential.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of financial planning, financial regulation and risk management practices.</li><li>Experience tax and working with tax authorities, including responding to requests for information, managing audits, and handling challenges, disputes, and tax litigation.</li><li>Experience in regulatory reporting and working with regulators.</li><li>Significant experience working with external advisors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.</li><li>Ability to deal with ambiguity and lead teams through change.</li><li>Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); additional qualifications such as Company Secretary (CS) are an advantage.</li><li>Fluency in English is essential, French would be beneficial.</li><li>Luxembourg based.</li></ul></ul>

Chief Financial Officer
