Hashdex Cuts Two European Jobs on Aug. 14 as It Closes Two Crypto ETPs

Hashdex, a Brazil-founded crypto asset manager, will close its two European exchange-traded products (ETPs) and reduce its European staff by two positions as it shifts its product focus toward the United States. The company announced the changes on Aug. 14, 2026. The workforce reduction’s percentage was not disclosed.

The ETPs—Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index Europe ETP (HASH) and Hashdex Crypto Momentum Factor ETP (HAMO)—are scheduled to close and liquidate effective Sept. 11, 2026, according to a notice published by SIX Swiss Exchange on Aug. 11. Both products are listed on SIX, Deutsche Börse Xetra, Euronext Paris and Euronext Amsterdam. HASH launched on SIX in May 2022 and was Hashdex’s first product outside the Americas.

The two European products held a combined $42.3 million as of Aug. 13, including $39.7 million in HASH and $2.55 million in HAMO, according to Hashdex’s European product pages. The company said its total crypto product assets were approximately $1 billion as of August 2026, with the European products representing roughly 4.2% of the group’s assets.

Hashdex said the European job cuts were part of the ETP closures and that it would continue serving clients in the region. “While two staff positions in Europe have been reduced in line with this decision, we continue to serve our clients in Europe, and our Chairman Marcelo Sampaio continues to be based in London,” a company spokesperson told Sandmark.

The firm said many European clients are moving toward its flagship multi-asset crypto strategy through NCIQ, its U.S.-listed product tracking the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index. Hashdex added that NCIQ is its key offering in the United States, while its European business will continue serving clients despite the closure of the listed ETP range.
