Odos to Lay Off 100% of Workforce as DeFi Aggregator Shuts Down on July 30, 2026

DeFi company Odos is winding down its operations and will lay off 100% of its workforce, although the company has not disclosed the number of jobs affected. The company announced the shutdown on July 27, 2026, saying its decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator and all related services will permanently close on July 30.

“To the Odos community: after much consideration, the operating company behind Odos is winding down its operations,” the team wrote on X. “The app moves to read-only on July 27, and all Odos services shut down permanently on July 30, 2026. Odos is non-custodial: your assets remain yours and on-chain.”

New signups, wallet creation and limit orders were disabled when the shutdown was announced. Swaps remained available until the app moved to read-only. Users who created wallets through social or email logins were instructed to transfer their assets or export their private keys before the deadline. The company said assets held in other wallets remain on-chain and under users’ control.

Odos launched in 2022 and was built by Semiotic Labs, a core developer of The Graph. Its proprietary Smart Order Routing algorithm searched across approximately 900 liquidity sources on around 15 EVM-compatible networks. The aggregator routed more than $104 billion in trades during its four-year operation. Monthly volume reached a peak of $7.85 billion in December 2024, but fell to $2.27 billion in December 2025, $553 million in May 2026, $403 million in June and $170 million in July through the time of the report.

The company did not provide a reason for the shutdown. Odos said its ODOS token and the separately operated Odos DAO would remain unaffected on-chain, while warning users that any post-shutdown token migration, claim or airdrop offers are scams. Following the permanent closure, the company’s DEX aggregation services will no longer operate.
