MakerDAO is an Ethereum-based protocol that issues the DAI stablecoin and facilitates collateral-backed loans without an intermediary. Its widespread use and DeFi integration make MakerDAO one of the most operational protocols in the crypto ecosystem.
About the Role
Maker Academy is a Core Unit currently being incubated by SES. Our goal is to provide educational content about MakerDAO processes and best practices, specifically addressed to current and potential contributors but open for everyone. The first step is building a platform to connect learners and experts. On this platform, experts (guided by Maker Academy) will be able to develop open content.
As the content producer, you will be in charge of assisting these experts with content creation, as well as creating your own content about MakerDAO. You will report to the Maker Academy’s Facilitator.
Short Term Responsibilities
- Develop content and courses for Maker Academy’s website and the necessary research that goes into this.
- Work with others to strategize outlines for courses to be included on Maker Academy’s repository.
- Attend Maker Academy’s team meetings (on strategy, vision, updates, and short-term goals).
- Review and revise the content and courses that others make for Maker Academy’s website.
Future Responsibilities
- This position evolves as being the Project Manager of Maker Academy’s content production - potentially taking part in developing.
Goals.
- As a short-term goal, you will assist others and develop courses that are a top priority for Maker Academy.
- You will also create and develop courses to support new contributors' induction (onboarding training).
About the Job.
- Prior experience (or degree) in communication, education, or pedagogy.
- English speaking at a native level.
- Great content writing skills.
- Basic understanding of the Maker ecosystem and other cryptocurrencies from a technical perspective (that includes how the Blockchain works, how DAI is minted, governance tokens , and how transfers are done).
- Interest in working in a startup environment
Nice to haves:
- Startup/tech background.
- Solid understanding of the wider cryptocurrency industry.
-US timezone based.
- Prior experience (or degree) in a technical field of any of the following: law, finance, computer science, business (business least preferred out of these).
