Job Description

As a content strategist at The Block, you will determine how to best package and distribute all of our content across all our channels, including Search (Google), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, email, and text messaging. The Block produces content beyond free, written articles: we have two membership tiers (The Block and The Block Research), audio (podcasts, call recordings), video (events, interviews), and data (charts). Your job is to ensure that we can effectively message the quality of our content to all our audiences, regardless of where, when, and how they prefer to consume our content. This is the first role of its type at The Block, we’re primarily interested in bringing on someone that can be productive from day one and grow out our capabilities in content strategy.


    • Optimize packaging of content for different channels and related audiences
    • Develop distribution process starting from initial publication of content 
    • Explore the types of content that see higher engagement within each channel
    • Set goals and monitor growth of each channel
    • Work with the editorial team to understand the audience today and how to grow it
    • Schedule posting of content
    • Use tools like Buffer to manage content

Looking for team members who have/is

    • Experience with content management or social media marketing
    • Creative thinker who works to understand customer needs and ideates unique ways to cater to them
    • Self-starter who is excited by ownerships and does not wait to be told what to
