About the role
We're looking for a copywriter to join our global marketing team. Merlin's Content, PR and Marketing division handles day to day operations of community management, social media content creation, long form and visual content creation for various blogs and news sites (i.e.: earned media, paid content, Medium), in addition to marketing research, strategies, and ongoing implementation (i.e.: viral giveaways, contests, email drip campaigns, etc).

What you will do:
- Writing engaging copy and content for use on social media platforms.
- Work with different marketing departments to generate new ideas and strategies.
- Generate new ideas for social content to drive communications.
- Building a knowledge base / help desk of content in order to better direct community members in times of support.
- Engage in Strategic Planning to improve brand awareness, engage social communities, drive traffic and leads to clients websites.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platform inner workings, efficiency workflows, and platform limitations.
- Be able to create engaging content while utilizing SEO anchor text
- Be prepared to write on multiple topics for multiple clients on a normal week
- Prior experience writing about blockchain topics is required
- Flexibility to create technical pieces as well as sales and press release style content
Ideal Requirements
- A strong knowledge of the crypto/DeFi ecosystem, strong Twitter game, confident and professional tone.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Ability to work remotely, autonomously and take initiatives.
- Previous experience in similar roles within the blockchain space.
- Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.
- Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
