Senior Developer/CTO

What will you be doing?

• Technology — providing leadership and direction for the technical architecture and development road map within a blockchain environment, including the strategy around platforms, partnerships and external relationships to help the business adopt technologies that are likely to maximize benefit/cost ratio thinking across different time horizons.

• Business — participating in short- and long-term business decisions reconciling competing needs within the business, providing stakeholders with relevant, intelligible recommendations and decisions. Building bridges and networking within the Blockchain community, including notable influencers in DeFi.

• Leadership — developing and driving an agile and flexible technology team with clarity on priorities, timelines, and approaches. Connecting and managing remote teams across different time zones in a responsive and efficient way. Developing the team’s structure and culture to elevate performance and reduce friction. Listen to and understand the challenges and concerns of both individuals and teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the founders in a collaborative, small team environment to ensure that tech vision is aligned with the business and technical requirements are realized and met.

• Build a high-performance team of blockchain developers, smart contract engineers, and support staff.

• Design and set up the entire technology infrastructure starting from evaluating current architecture.

• Create a plan to develop a seamless, scalable product.

• Debug app glitches and build features for launch and beyond. Respond to user feedback and perform app iterations.

Who You Are?

You are currently working in a cutting-edge emerging technology startup and understand DeFi (both the landscape and Defi products) as a CTO. You have launched a successful blockchain product before. A Master’s Degree/research background would be a plus. You are bold and driven by:

• Taking risks and thinking outside the current paradigm. We cannot be restricted by conventional approaches as a company, and the CTO has to be at the forefront of innovation.

• Predicting likely outcomes - we don’t need an oracle, but it is crucial to have a sense of how potential choices are likely to play out in both the technology and DeFi.

• Hitting the ground running and enjoy resolving new challenges and learning, balancing high-level needs against low-level circumstances to set priorities based on changing conditions.

• Managing setbacks with grace and wisdom as software development is iterative and fraught with unforeseen problems.

• You are solutions-oriented with an emphasis on quality technical delivery, making data-driven decisions.

• Blockchain Architect and Development experience both in layer 1 and 2

• Product Engineering and Application Development experience

• Experience in leading transformational teams and executing global projects

Tech Stack - you need to have experience in each of the bullet points to set the tasks and communicate to the dev team.

• Ethereum and EVM-based blockchains, smart-contract development with Solidity, Web3.js / Ethers.js frameworks

• JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js, Golang, Rust, Python, C++

• MySQL, database management

• AWS, DevOps, architecture management and security

• Docker and other containerization experience
