The role
We are seeking a service-oriented DevOps Engineer with a passion for providing an exceptional environment for our software engineers to operate in. The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and experience collaborating cross-functionally.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role
- Service-oriented attitude with a passion for providing an exceptional experience for all customers
- Strong working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud ecosystem
- Experience working with declarative Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Working knowledge of configuration management frameworks (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
- Experience working with Jenkins or similar automation tools
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Ruby)
- Understanding of modern web architecture patterns
- Experience with Git or other distributed SCM systems
Responsibilities
- Partner with technology teams across the organization to enable safe, fast iteration
- Collaborate with Data Engineering team to build out automation, infrastructure, and monitoring tools
- Work closely with the DevOps team to understand our implemented patterns
- Take part in weekly on-call support rotation
- Provide troubleshooting and support for existing systems
- Write documentation and provide in-person guidance for building, monitoring, and maintaining our infrastructure
