Figma -> Website Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer who is eager to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual website (desktop and mobile). You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the website looks as well as how it works.

Duration and Remuneration

This position is on a fixed-term contract, timeframe and remuneration to be evaluated once the scope of the project has been introduced.

Responsibilities

- Translate a Figma design to a live desktop / mobile (responsive) site (6-7 pages)
- Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize website for accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, speed
- Ensure that the website layout resists to text updates or image replacements
- Collaborate with other team members
- Produce code easy to maintain / update

Skills And Qualifications

- Experience using Figma design software
- Experience with building both desktop and responsive (tablet/mobile) websites
- Ability to work remotely, while maintaining an open line with the team.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, Javascript, CSS3, forms.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
- Body of work that showcases your ability to translate a design into a fully functioning site.
