Head of Business Development-Cards Payments

Founded in 2014, Ledger is the leader in security and infrastructure solutions for cryptocurrencies and blockchain applications. Headquartered in Paris, with offices in Vierzon, Singapore, London and New York, Ledger has a team of 200+ professionals developing a variety of products and services to safeguard and protect crypto-assets for individuals and companies – including the Ledger Nano S already sold at 3 million units in 165 countries.To build out the crypto debit/credit card offering for Ledger. The individual will have ownership in developing the card business vertical, including card payments, loyalty schemes and also working with internal stakeholders in building out a unique proposition for the crypto card industry. We are looking for self-starters with deep analytical ability, who can use data coupled with intuition in making business decisions. 

Missions

• Successfully launch the Ledger debit card at a global level
• Design strategic reports, build competitive and sectoral analyses to identify future growth areas
• Develop a series of partnerships which provide value add to the card and also the end consumer
• Manage existing partner relationships in order to derive additional value for customers.
•  Identifying key industry relationships in order to maintain a global leadership position
• Represent Ledger at various events and speaking engagements

Requirements and qualifications

• A proven track record, working within the card industry, preferably at a neo bank. 
• Entrepreneurial mindset and love working on challenging topics and projects
• Highly autonomous, well organized, proactive attitude
• Demonstrable ability to construct and deliver new business lines.
•  Fluent in English and French is plus to feel comfortable when talking with our international teams
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrable organizational skills
• A previous experience in a challenging environment (e.g. consulting, banking, tech scale-up) is highly appreciated
• Having a strong interest in cryptocurrencies and an understanding of Defi and Crypto wallets is desirable.
• Prior ownership of PnL within a business stream
