IFF System Administrator and Developer – Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Nodes

Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious systems administrator with excellent programming skills to join the DLRC team and take over the day-to-day operation of our current and future infrastructure.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • setting up and maintaining IFF’s Linux servers and Docker deployments,
  • designing and implementing Web services/apps to visualize data from the containers, supporting IFF’s researchers on assignments related to the validators (consensus algorithms, Byzantine fault tolerance protocols, and full node blockchain data) and other assignments related to IFF’s blockchain consensus nodes;
  • participating to various scientific and research activities of the IFF research group.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have obtained a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • You have strong programming skills (preferable Java, Python, or C++).
  • You have worked with Linux systems and have knowledge with bash scripting.
  • You have worked with Docker containers, Docker Compose and Kubernetes.
  • You have proficiency with NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python Django and you understand microservices architectures (APIs and RESTful operations).
  • You have proficiency with Cloud Servers such as AWS/ Google cloud or Digital Ocean.
  • You have basic knowledge and/or enthusiasm for blockchain protocols and decentralized applications.
  • You are organized, proactive with positive attitude.
  • You have the comfort to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English.

 

This is a Full Time on-campus position

Competitive salary is offered depending on experience and qualifications.
