Junior Backend Software Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Backend Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible for the upkeep and further development of the CryptoCompare exchange integration services, which provide the core data solutions upon which we build the majority of our data services. Our main API service uses this data to serve an average of 30 million calls an hour to an average 850k hourly unique users. With the team being small, the successful candidate will be hands-on throughout the end-to-end delivery of updates and new features, being able to directly see the value added to users, and the company, from the features they create.

Key Requirements

• Computer Science/Software Engineering based degree
• Coding experience - Javascript preferable, or high level language experience such as Python, Java, or C#
• Basic knowledge of networking, database systems, and unix
• Strong communication skills, including English fluency, both verbal and written

Nice to have

• A coding project to demonstrate
• Mathematical background / knowledge is a plus
• Interest/experience in cryptocurrencies/financial markets
