Lead Software Engineer

As the Lead ArDrive Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the quality and on-time delivery by the Core Drivers of the ArDrive suite of applications and their related services. This involves organizing, mentoring, and developing alongside the team while coordinating actively with all involved stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

• Working with lead Community stakeholders to develop, prototype, and socialize functional requirements for new application features and platform capabilities.
• Working with our UX team to help assess feasibility and soundness of designs.
• Constructing, organizing, and facilitating the prioritization of the backlog of feature, defect, and technical debt work items that represent that represent the ArDrive Community’s priorities.
• Prototyping, documenting, and building the code that supports all of the business logic for the ArDrive platform (upload, download, sharing, encryption, search, etc.) across web and native platforms.
• Ensuring and demonstrating the technical quality and architectural integrity of our systems in continuous and automated ways, i.e. automated testing (unit/integration/end-to-end/contract/etc.), continuous monitoring, and other forms of process automation.
• Leading and mentoring junior team members and ensuring consistent delivery of code across the whole team. This includes performing code reviews, pair programming, and working with managers to collect feedback on the performance of fellow Core Drivers and the cross-functional harmony of the team as a whole.
• Auditing existing code, developing new core APIs and services, and providing input into the overall technology roadmap as we align on patterns and standards used across the ArDrive ecosystem.
• Organizing and facilitating Agile ceremonies such as standups and retrospectives.
• Performing all functions above in a manner that is inclusive and respects the dignity and wellbeing of the Core Drivers and the broader ArDrive Community.

Requirements 

A leader with a proven track record in managing teams that have built cross platform desktop, web or mobile applications with at least 5 years of experience and a strong understanding of the following

• js, TypeScript & related build tools. Yarn and Rollup a plus.
• UI Frameworks such as React Postcss Tailwind etc
• Able to work with SQL Databases and Node IPC
• Git and understanding of release management process
• Knowledge of Flutter and Dart a plus
• GraphQL and knowledge of Arweave APIs and system architecture is a huge plus
• Able to work in a remote team using Agile methodology
