As a Quantitative Researcher at Advanced Blockchain Asset Management (ABAM), you will work in the Asset Management division. You will also be interacting with the financial engineering team under AB Research. At ABAM, you will build new alpha strategies for example, statistical arbitrage based and/or HFT approaches.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct quantitative finance research with a focus on statistical and predictive models
- Manage all aspects of the research process, including methodology selection, data collection and analysis, prototyping, backtesting, and performance monitoring
- Evaluate new datasets for alpha potential
- Implement models in C++ and Python
- Monitor the daily trading process
- Enhance and improve the trading system
Qualifications:
- PhD in finance, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
- A minimum of 1-3 years working as quantitative researcher
- Strong quantitative research and analysis background.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research utilizing large data sets.
- Detail-oriented.
- Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team.
Nice to have:
- Cryptonative experience such as experience working with DAOs to propose integrations, risk analysis, development of token economics, and development of new DeFi products and primitives.
- Coding experience and ideally experience with Solidity.
- Experience researching, working with and building DeFi Protocols.
- A Mathematics or Economics background.
