Senior Java Software Engineer - Network

As an accomplished Senior Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Director, this is a rare opportunity for a growth-minded individual to join a fast-growing exciting mission that will significantly impact the financial services industry and transform the lives of billions of people around the world. Your mission will be toĀ enable Coinme and customers to manage their flow of funds. You will accomplish this by working alongside your engineering team to build software and integrations for the acceptance, dissemination, and liquidation of funds needed to fulfill customer transactions including capabilities to handle fiat and crypto funds.Ā 

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Design solutions for complex technical and business problems
  • Develop software systems and components for our rapidly growing businessĀ 
  • Write performant, maintainable code while iterating and shipping rapidly
  • Author and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Work with your Scrum team to plan sprints and delivery of features
  • Drive engineering excellence, operational stability and security into all layers of theĀ  platform
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions and planning
  • Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders
  • Work with Engineering Leadership to drive best practices in software development, testing, and production operations
  • Mentor other engineers, helping them grow in their careers
  • Contribute to recruiting efforts to continue to build your team
  • This role will support Network Expansion efforts

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a software developer
  • Experience building scalable services and distributed systems in Java or similar object-oriented language
  • Familiarity with RX Java and GoLang is a plusĀ 
  • Experience driving technical designs within a team
  • Experience writing code that is readable, scalable, and instrumented;
  • Experience in designing, building and working with RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of core AWS solutions (EC2, RDS, etc.)
  • Experience working in a fast paced Agile development environment
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
  • Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology

Not Required, But Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with event driven microservices architecture is a plus
