Senior Creative Designer/Art Director
Brave is looking for an experienced designer to help take us to Mars. To get there, we need interplanetary visual communication with great visual design. This mission includes our global websites,. sales and marketing collateral, presentations, ad creatives and management, and various video projects. This design role includes managing and evolving the Brave brandwith the VP of Design, carrying it through our global presence. You will be working with sales, marketing and product teams to deliver mars-level visual content. This is a high-visibility position where cross-team collaborationand a 1000 mile perspective is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain the visual feel of the Brave.com website
  • Design and manage the creation of visual content for social media, advertising promotion, and general online marketing
  • Manage, maintain administer and evolve the Brave brand, branding assets and provide branding direction to Braves partners when needed
  • Work with engineering teams as needed for all Brave-owned web properties
  • Work with the marketing team to coordinate design and written content for each project
  • Manage outsourced bandwidth as required to achieve project goals
  • Define, maintain and enforce visual design guidelines for websitesand other creative content
Required Skills and Experience
  • 5-10 years of design experience including 3-5 years of experience managing other designers and external resources portfolio that proves it
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment where passion is high and so are co-worker expectations 
  • Equally comfortable working on high-profile projects where accuracy and speed of delivery is often extremely importantIntuitive user-centric approach to interactive design and information architecture
  • Proven experience designing consumer-focused websites, email, off line media and video content
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CC suite or mastery of alternative tools
  • Understanding of the latest interactive design trends and UX best practices
  • Basic prototyping skills using Figma, Keynote or other tools
  • Working knowledge of modern web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
  • Solid communication skills through Slack as well as in team sessions 
Nice-to-Have
  • Photography/illustration skills
  • Agency experience
  • 3D illustrations
  • Ability to code in HTML, CSS, and have a basic understanding of Javascript
  • Advanced prototyping skills in a popular tool
  • Experience with user testing and feedback collection
  • Marketing concept creation and general marketing knowledge
