I started my career at EPAM at 19, while still studying Computer Science in Kharkiv. For the next two years I combined full-time work as a Data Quality Engineer with university, and finished my degree with a thesis on an automated data quality assessment framework for ML pipelines. Today I work at N-iX with Snowflake and AWS in production, I mentor students in data analytics, and I live in Bucharest.
What makes me good at this work is that I genuinely can't leave a number alone until I understand it. When data doesn't match, I don't just report a bug; I trace it to the root cause and stay with it until it's fixed. Mentoring taught me to explain that clearly to anyone, technical or not.
There's also a less obvious part of my story: I keep my own apiary. Beekeeping taught me the same lesson as data quality. You inspect regularly, notice small signs early, and never assume everything is fine just because it looks fine from the outside. I bring that mindset to every dataset I work with.
