Simply put: I got into coding because of the crypto environment. I got a journalism degree from Stony Brook University (NY) and my senior project was a heavily-reported piece on cryptocurrencies. It was done in 2017, when Bitcoin was at its highest price and no one outside of crypto subreddits, knew exactly what was going on. On one hand, blockchain tech sparked a technical interest in me--namely how "safe" a decentralized network of computers can actually be and how the software itself was made.
