When I worked for Autonio (www.auton.io), I worked in the development of a state-of-the-art market making bot for the BitShares DEX so I'm extremely familiar with the business processes surrounding such an operation. The “Normal” settings of such bot executed 35,000 trades per day on a DEX—that’s 1 transaction every 3 seconds. The “Smart Market Maker” setting reached 84,000 trades per day on a DEX and 350,000 trades per day on a CEX—4 transactions every second.
