Seven years ago, I started learning programming because I wanted to build something that is future orientated and easily accessible. Since then I have been developing apps (see https://github.com/iamonuwa) and have been continually teaching myself about it. I would enjoy bringing my skills and enthusiasm to Lunie.
During my days at RibbonBlockchain (https://ribbonblockchain.com), I worked with my team to build the first ever South African healthcare incentivized platform where people can get rewarded for going for checkups and treatments. Here I was able to gain a deeper knowledge of the healthcare sector and was able to directly contribute to the success of the scrum team and project.
I am currently working as an open source contributor at Gitcoin(https://gitcoin.co/iamonuwa). I have been able to learn how to write code efficiently in a team, improve legacy code and implement new features according to each project’s needs. I was also able to increase my expertise in backend and frontend engineering and improve my understanding of how the layers of a large project come together. I would like to improve on these skills and learn new ones with Lunie.
With my determination, passion for software development and ability to adapt to new situations, I believe I am a good candidate as a Javascript Engineer at Lunie.
