As a technologist, I’ve always been interested in utilising technology to analyse and solve problems in innovative ways. I’ve always found myself drawn to companies that try to create new markets and challenge traditional thinking. For example, I worked at SimplyGiving which was an online giving platform that sought to bring peer-to-peer fundraising and social lending to south east Asia. Having built the solution from the ground up and listened to the market, we managed to bring online fundraising to many organisations that just wouldn’t have had access to a global community without it.
