The following letter is attached to the resume submitted: Why am I here? I’m a communicator, first. It’s a skill I’ve always had and I’ve used it in a number of ways. Early experiences on stage — the thrill of group persuasion — lead me to a career in the theatre. This is where I used my word to build communities, to build stages, to bring people together and share ideas with nuance, humour, and passion. Communication has also allowed me to connect with people in trouble. I volunteer on a crisis hotline for teens and young adults. We don’t speak; they text and I write back.
