I am excited to be applying for the Frontend Developer position at Crypto Jobs List. My motivations reside in the process of developing products that simplify our experiences and transform the way we interact with technology.
My interest in software engineering initially stemmed from a passion for design. While completing my bachelors in Business, I challenged myself to build a mobile app I called Math Trek. After launching the app in 2019, I gleaned the confidence to pursue an engineering career and haven't looked back since.
As a Full-stack Engineer at Bento, I was involved in many aspects of building, maintaining and improving our software infrastructure. Over the course of my experience at Bento, I’ve been heavily involved in building API version 3, which primarily consisted of migrating our models and services from Javascript to Typescript. This allowed us to maintain a clean and consistent codebase throughout the application. Our backend was built on Node Express and Mongo DB.
Additionally, as part of the frontend team, I participated in major UI interactions focused on developing and implementing seamless experiences for our customers using Figma and Vue JS.
We adopted the SCRUM development framework which emphasised an interactive and incremental approach to test-driven software development. I was often responsible for leading daily stand-ups which allowed my team to remain accountable and on course to complete the task at hand.
