Before gaining formal knowledge from communities of practice, I learned project management from being thrown to the wolves; learn by doing. In early times of managing operations and projects, I discovered that I enjoyed the challenges of project management and had a way of pulling projects together even when jumping into projects partway in trouble.
Over time, I added knowledge to the subjects to be able to apply different strategies as needed.
