I first heard about crypto in 2015, when I was 16 years old, right before the bull run began in 2017. I didn't have a job yet in high school, but I was eager to invest. I made my father create an account for me on Binance (before I had to convert to Binance.us) and with a $100 check my grandmother gave me for my birthday, I put $50 into my saving, and the other $50 was my first crypto investment with Cardano (ADA). Since then, I completed a few years in college in the finance field, but about the same time COVID hit the USA hard, I was also struck with the fact that I was not interested in the finance major I was pursuing. I took a few months to truly consider my passion until it came naturally to me that I had always LOVED reading articles about cryptocurrencies and new projects, especially the development of Web3 and Blockchain technologies. I spent a few days researching if there were majors/minors in the crypto/blockchain field but was bummed to find nothing. In 2019 I had an entrepreneurship opportunity that I took advantage of and with the money I made, I built myself a beautiful new PC. I started learning to code here and there for fun and then came to find out that coding takes a huge part in the crypto space. So, although my only experience in crypto is hours of YouTube and reading articles about web3, upcoming projects, and trading, I am incredibly passionate about the field and what I have yet to learn about it. A job in crypto is truly my dream job and hopefully, I am able to explore and work in different fields within the industry to find what I love even more.
