I have worked as a political reporter (digital) for the most popular T.V. station in Kenya, East Africa — Citizen T.V.— and as a senior business news writer for the second most popular business news publication in the country — Business Today Kenya— an experience that makes me familiar with the principle duties of a holder of the position.
During my time as a business news reporter, I have interacted with many business news materials, including financial results and press releases, and interviewed CEOs of reputable companies in the country.
My political/general assignment news reporter experience, on the other hand, gave me the nose of understanding what informs the general public’s thinking and how to package information to suit the citizen.
Besides being a writer, I also have social media experience in my locker from the above two organizations.
Besides wanting the job, I am confident that I can deliver at the highest level in this role and yield the best results by working together with my colleagues.
I am technology savvy, a good writer, and capable of formulating releases. Because of these reasons, I feel I am well positioned to be considered for the vacancy.
