After reading the job description, I believe I have the necessary skills and abilities to fill in the role and that it will offer the challenges and further development opportunities I’m looking for. During the 9 years in ERSTE bank, I got strong knowledge and experience in testing various applications and systems related to payments and online banking apps. As a business owner I was mostly involved in functional and UAT testing, and sometimes in SIT and Smoke testing. I have perfected the whole Testing Life Cycle: analysis of business requirements, creation of test plan, test scenarios, test cases, execute test cases, defect management, reporting, and most importantly confirm that the application is ready for production. Working with external vendors and developers every day, I became interested in their part of software testing. I also became interested in automated testing, which led me to a software testing course that I successfully completed and where I was introduced to the developer side of software testing and automated testing tools. This position has, in my opinion, the right balance between the knowledge and experience I can bring. This step is a natural move in my career and this is something I really want to do long term and to perfect myself in this field, especially for automatic testing.
