Dear API3 Team,
The blockchain industry has interested me since 2017, but really caught my attention last year as more use cases emerged and hundreds of decentralized finance applications came into their own. As a Quality Assurance Engineer at API3, I would be able to not only participate in building novel applications, but also help define testing standards for oracle solutions and Web3.
As a Software Engineer in Test at Service Management Group, I've increased software quality and decreased development cycle time by creating suites of tests for our web applications as they are being developed. In order to build tests for this dynamic behavior, I've learned how to structure tests in a way that increases interoperability, reduces flakiness, and catches edge cases. Testing at API3 would give me the opportunity to apply these skills to a new domain, and develop new testing processes to lead toward true Test-Driven Development.
In addition to my technical skills, I believe that I have the communication and writing skills necessary for creating test plans, discussing requirements, documenting bugs, and other planning. I've found that these qualities are essential for effective QA, especially in the fully-remote environment I work in.
