My experience in DeFi started around May 2020 when I began to use DEX exchanges.
I realized that, sometimes, the trades I was making were resulting in accidental profit: namely, the dollar value of the asset I was trading to was greater than what I was trading from. This led me down the rabbit hole of figuring out whether or not immediately trading the asset I acquired at a profit back to the original asset could be used as a viable trading strategy - sadly, coming from a non-finance background, I didn't even know this was called 'arbitrage trading' at the time.
