I have been working in the traditional investigation and compliance space for many years - for most of this I was at EY in New York and Sao Paulo but in recent years I have been working as a consultant for various firms in the UK and Brazil. I have been really interested in crypto and really want to move to apply my existing knowledge and experience to the world of digital assets. I have already completed the FIU Connect course on crypto assets (created in partnership by Elliptic) and the Crypto Consortium training of "Certified Bitcoin Professional', all in an effort to solidify my knowledge in this space. I am a Certified Fraud Examiner and also studying for my CAMS qualification.
The great thing about working in the consulting space is that I have a broad range of experience on the compliance and investigation sides, particularly in financial analysis, KYC, asset investigations, risk assessments and compliance process/procedure review. I appreciate that on the investigations side I have worked in more senior roles, and that a lateral move would likely require some flexibility on my part. I am completely prepared for that and ready to take on a new challenge!
