I graduated last year with a double degree in applied mathematics and Financial engineering from Polytech Nice/EDHEC in France. For a year, I have been working as an FX Structurer in London for Société Générale CIB. There I developed technical and analytical skills by pricing and structuring numerous exotic FX derivatives with Python and VBA.
Regarding Crypto, I have been fully involved in this space for a year now (actually since 2017 but less so at the time) and have found it really exciting. I have discovered yield farming, staking and all that goes with it. I am also following closely the development of new decentralised finance protocols such as Aave, Maker or Curve. They are ongoing sources of innovation that I believe could offer alternative investment solutions in the future.
I try to learn as much as possible every day. For instance, I built my little DeFi app and deepened my knowledge of Solidity / Python. I also do some discretionary trading on the side, based on on-chain metrics. But currently, I feel that I don't have enough time to discover and understand all the new concepts properly as a sideline activity. Improving my knowledge, developing my technical skills and professionalising DeFi are the reasons why I want to join this space full time.
