I saw a New Yorker cartoon the other day. There were two bagels sitting at a diner counter having coffee and chatting. One says to the other, "Then again, if we DON'T move to New York, will we ever be taken seriously as bagels?" (And take it from this Native New Yorker -- the answer is "No!")
