Having a sound understanding of a project's token economics is critical when evaluating an investment opportunity. Everything from the token distribution % for the core team , to the unlock schedule, and to potential staking application, all dictate how a project's token price will behave over time. I have been personally researching and investing in crypto projects for the last 3-4 years and have developed a variety of variety of strategies to assess potential opportunities. Being plugged into the crypto community via twitter has helped me immensely in terms of being early to new crypto projects as well as understanding the technicals that allow a project to function. Most recently, in my role as a blockchain product manager at J.P. Morgan Chase I personally researched the token economics have projects to help us better optimize our own offering. Working at one of the largest investment banks for the past 5 yrs has also allowed me to develop the professional communication that will be vital to convey the findings of my research.
