I have been working at WorldQuant, an international quantitative investment management firm, managing approximately $5 billion in AUM, as a Senior Software Developer for the past 8 months. I developed myself the Java application, processing the end-of-day global market data on an everyday basis.
Previously, I was working as a Software Developer at Vimpelcom, the second-largest telecom operator in Russia, where I independently developed Java REST API for accessing data for startups` evaluation. This doubled the conversion rate of successful applications. Before that, I worked at Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia and Eastern Europe on an ETL project for Sberbank’s app for investors. Working there I unblocked the possibility of 100% code coverage by switching all services cache database mode to server-based from the in-memory one.
In parallel, I have been developing several REST APIs (on Java and Go) for the past 18 months as pet projects. I always try to learn something new and to create anything, that could help people, based on the knowledge I gained so far.
