Though I am still in the beginning of my corporate development career I have over 3 years of experience working with javascript, React in particular, and other languages, as well as, UI UX development through my academic courses, projects, and freelance work. One project in particular is worth mentioning is a social networking website/community for software developers to connect and improve their mental wellness by engaging with other developers. Making use of Agile software development methods like scrum, planning sessions, and sprints Devlife allowed for flexibility to write backend and frontend code interchangeably, collaborate with a team building relationships in and outside the project, as well as, giving and taking critique or praise and running with it. After the journey of Devlife I have spent the past couple years doing projects, online courses, and researching for my own development. In November 2021 I began developing the UI/UX for a journaling and self-affirmation mobile application called You. Using Figma, I created a design system and wireframe leading to a prototype of the user interface, user journey, and user experience based on the ideal consumer defined by the client. With full creative control I satisfied the client's needs and have moved into the full stack development process using React Native to create a cross-platform application based on the prototype. Between my experience and education in full stack development and UI UX development I believe I am in a unique position to bring beautiful, intuitive, user friendly, and efficient design systems and UI architecture, tempered with an understanding of the software engineering process, to a development team to meet and exceed client expectations. In design, I can bring solutions to difficult UI UX situations in a way that produces innovative, trend setting products.
