I currently work in a research and administrative role with a crypto market data website. I also built my own cryptocurrency GPU mining rig a few years ago. Currently, I am mining Ethereum, but after it transitions from PoW to PoS soon, hopefully another token becomes profitable to mine. However, it is estimated that all the hashrate from Eth migrating to other tokens will make mining unprofitable for a while, until a new equilibrium is reached. Nontheless, it should be very interesting to see what happens.
