As a believer in the cryptocurrency space, I am delighted to submit my application for the DeFi Researcher position with Next Ventures. Relevant experience includes 18 months working for Web3 based company Decentral Games (DG), 3 years of active trading on Centralized & Decentralized Exchanges and the establishment of an Ethereum Dollar Cost Average strategy for my personal Superannuation Fund (401k).
Before crypto, I was a corporate insurance professional with 7 years’ experience working in various Business Development and Analyst positions for IAG and QBE. This period of my career has helped shape my strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication and the talent to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience.
More specific to my defi exposure, my duties as part of DG’s customer support team include, answering queries about liquidity pools, validating transactions on block explorers, processing bug payments via Metamask and providing general ticket support for new users relating to wallet security.
Regarding an explanation of education, everything can be learnt online if one can overcome their own struggles, which is a natural part of the learning process. Traditional institutions such as universities are useful for those whom find scheduling, establishment of routine or overcoming challenges difficult. However, self-education for long-term memory is achievable if one’s character already possesses determination.
