Experience in Crypto:
I have been working in the crypto space full time for the past 8 months. I first started out as an Intern for Validata Ltd. and then received a part-time contracting role as an Investment analyst.
A lot of my paid job currently consists of deep diving into projects, finding ‘gems in the rough’, alongside studying the global macro and devising investment strategies based on that. The other significant part of my week is spent upskilling. I am confident in Python, and currently learning SQL to assist with my data analysis.
On a more casual basis, I am a community moderator for Smart Fox NFT and work with some great minded people there. I also use my investment knowledge to take crypto trades of my own.
Best ways to find Alpha:
Some of the best methods I have used to find alpha is through: Networking through telegram, twitter and discord. Watching GitHub activity. Looking at who projects are backed by - following big investment firm activity. Listening to Podcasts - especially interviews with founders. Tracking wallets - on chain metrics. Google Trends.
Explain education, hobbies or interests:
I currently have a Certificate in Advanced Mathematics from the University of Auckland (graduated with distinction) and a Diploma in Science and Technology from Massey University. Before that I graduated secondary school with Cambridge International A2 level studies in Math, Physics and Chemistry.
Some of my hobbies outside crypto include: Water-skiing in the summer, snowboarding in the winter and playing keyboard in a band.
