My name is -----. I'm a Brazilian engineering student at UFPR applying to your Research Intern position.
In late 2019 I decided to shift career paths. I left my M&A job to get back to school and research blockchain, with the future aim of applying to a Masters and Doctorate program in Economics. The plan was to get my thesis out in 2020 and get an internship for the next six months so that I could graduate in about 18 months.
Then the pandemic hit and my plans were somewhat delayed.
For the next couple of years I continued my research for a thesis project entitled "Proposing a syllabus for an 'Introduction to Blockchain' course in the Industrial Engineering program at UFPR", which I finished and presented last April. It was written in portuguese so I have not sent the full text. But I have the final syllabus translated and would be happy to send it, as it has some interesting information on the research I did.
I've been searching for internship programs in the blockchain industry since February as I continue studying blockchain economics. Through this process I've found my programming skills are not ideal and am redirecting efforts to better understand the coding of blockchain technology as well as being able to better code myself.
It is my goal to start my career in this industry as soon as possible. I'm a very a fast and willing learner trying to find my way into blockchain.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards, FVG
