I am originally from Germany and went to the US at 19 years old with the intend to stay for 3 months to learn jazz. Iinstead stayed for 25 years and eventually became a citizen. I am self taught programmer, more out of necessity than because I have a natural affinity to it. I certain am not a natural but I have tenacity and can get things done. I also make sculptures or, at least that is what I did religiously every single day when I lived in NYC . A couple of years ago I moved to asia. I spent a year in China too and now I am in Thailand. I have a healthy does of self motivation. Last year I underwent the arduous journey of learning Haskell. I thought it would be good to know that language because they are the mother of functional programming. It was good to learn but I hardly see more than 7 jobs offered at any given time. In hindsight I think I should have learned Rust instead. I would like to get into the crypto programming world.
