I learned this lesson not in a classroom, but through the volatile screens of a crypto portfolio. My journey began in December 2018, following a conversation with my high school friend from Kanga School, Caleb Nyakundi. Caleb, now a health practitioner in Australia, spoke of a digital asset yielding $10 daily on a $700 principle. To my ears, this sounded like a lucrative fixed-income asset, yet it defied everything I knew about traditional finance.
