You will be the right hand of the Operations lead, helping us build something from the ground up.We are scaling our customer-facing operations team across international markets. This means that we are building the playbook for success, right now. You will help write it. You will work across the full customer journey, from first contact to resolution, and your input will directly shape the processes, standards, and team culture we build as we grow.<h3>What you will do</h3><ul><li>Own the customer experience day-to-day: Be the first person our customers reach when something goes wrong, or they need help. You will handle inbound queries across chat, email, and support tooling, and take accountability for the quality and speed of every response. You will spend most of your day (75%+) in direct contact with our customers. Speed and quality are not a trade-off here; we expect both.</li><li>Be the right hand of the Ops lead: Work directly alongside the Operations Lead to build out processes, identify gaps, and support decisions as we scale the team internationally. This is a back-office support role with high ownership. </li><li>Build the foundations: We recently launched. Many of the processes, templates, and escalation paths do not exist yet. You will create them. From response frameworks to internal guides, you will help lay the groundwork that the team will rely on as we grow.</li><li>Support international team scaling: As we hire Customer Ops team members in new markets, you will help onboard them, share knowledge, and maintain consistency in how we deliver for customers across regions.</li><li>Spot problems before they become patterns: Track issues across the customer base, flag recurring themes to Product and Engineering, and help prioritise fixes that actually move the needle for customers.</li><li>Work across teams: Collaborate with Compliance, KYC, and Product to make sure the customer experience is joined up, especially during onboarding and verification flows where things can go wrong quickly.</li><li>Represent the customer internally: Your proximity to customer feedback is valuable. Use it. Bring customer insight into internal conversations and push for improvements that matter.</li></ul><h3>Who you are</h3><ul><li>1 to 3 years of experience in customer operations, customer success, or a support role, ideally within fintech, payments, or crypto. We will consider strong candidates from outside these sectors if the fit is right.</li><li>Someone who takes ownership. You do not wait to be told. When something is broken or missing, you fix it or flag it. You hold yourself to a high standard even when no one is watching.</li><li>Clear and direct in how you communicate. You can write a helpful, professional response under pressure and explain a complex situation simply. You know the difference between being thorough and overcomplicating things.</li><li>Comfortable with ambiguity. This is an early-stage company. Processes will change, priorities will shift, and some days you will be figuring things out as you go. You see that as interesting rather than frustrating.</li><li>Genuinely curious about crypto. You do not need deep technical knowledge, but you need to understand the basics of how stablecoins and digital assets work and be motivated to learn more. Our customers live in this space.</li><li>Organised under pressure. You can manage a queue, prioritise effectively, and keep quality high when things are busy.</li><li>Collaborative by default. You work well with people in different functions, different time zones, and different levels of seniority. Finance operations at a globally regulated crypto exchange managing close cycles, reconciliations, reporting, treasury monitoring, and controls validation all generate substantial manual effort tied to critical financial and regulatory obligations. Errors carry audit, SOX, security ,and regulatory consequences.<h3>The Opportunity</h3>You will serve as the primary architect and builder of the AI-native finance operating system at Kraken. This role spans two simultaneous horizons: deploying production automation now and redesigning the finance architecture for the long term. Responsibilities span five core areas:<h3>Assess and map Finance operations</h3><ul><li>Evaluate how financial work currently flows across the organization, including close, reconciliations, treasury, reporting, controls validation, and audit preparation.</li><li>Identify capability gaps, manual bottlenecks, and integration failure points across systems including NetSuite, BlackLine, Kyriba, Fireblocks, and Lukka.</li><li>Benchmark current operations against best-in-class practices and emerging AI capabilities to build the Finance automation roadmap, prioritized by operational leverage and regulatory risk.</li><li>Work directly with accounting, FP&A, treasury, and finance operations teams to translate process pain points into buildable automation requirements.</li></ul><h3>Architect the agentic finance platform</h3><ul><li>Design the long-term architecture for an AI-native finance operating system. Define how agentic systems interact with financial infrastructure, data pipelines, and control and reporting frameworks.</li><li>Evaluate Kraken's existing finance systems stack from first principles, including platforms and the interfaces and data flows between them. Identify opportunities to simplify the stack, reduce manual intervention, and define a scalable target architecture.</li><li>Build an agentic finance layer that runs alongside the existing stack today, automating workflows while defining the migration path toward a more scalable, AI-native architecture over time.</li></ul><h3>Build and deploy production finance automation</h3><ul><li>Deploy production-grade agentic workflows that automate finance operations: reconciliations, close processes, audit and reporting preparation, treasury monitoring, financial analytics, and controls validation.</li><li>Build using modern AI tooling including Claude and Anthropic APIs, Python-based orchestration, n8n or equivalent workflow engines, and MCP or similar agent coordination layers.</li><li>Integrate internal and external systems by connecting APIs, data sources, and tools into unified automated workflows that deliver real operational leverage.</li><li>Maintain human oversight where appropriate. Design for auditability and control integrity, not just efficiency.</li></ul><h3>Own AI governance for Finance</h3><ul><li>Establish guardrails that allow automation and agent behavior to operate safely in a SOX-regulated financial environment. Define which controls are maintained, which are redesigned, and how workflow scope preserves control integrity.</li><li>Build frameworks covering data classification, auditability, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, failure detection, rollback mechanisms, regulatory compliance, and audit-ready design documentation.</li><li>Classify all automation builds by risk tier before work begins. No build goes to production without a named Process Owner, documented data flows, access controls, and audit logging confirmed.</li><li>Serve as the Finance domain representative in Kraken's Automate Everything Center of Excellence, contributing to governance standards and cross-functional build alignment.</li></ul><h3>Build the foundation for AI-native Finance</h3><ul><li>Create reusable frameworks, workflow templates, and documentation so that future Finance team members can safely build on top of the platform without relying on a single specialist.</li><li>Train finance professionals on AI-assisted tools and workflows deployed in production. This is a full-stack ownership role spanning opportunity identification, solution design, deployment, governance, and capability transfer. This global role will require you to work strategically to “automate everything” while building Compliance’s data driven machine across multiple jurisdictions and products (e.g. crypto, payments, futures, equities, custody, margin). Responsibilities span the following areas:Design and deploy AI-powered Compliance solutions<ul><li>Architect and build agentic workflows using n8n, Claude API, Python, and MCP that take real actions in Compliance processes with appropriate human oversight and approval gates.</li><li>Design and deliver solutions across priority Compliance use cases: alert pre-screening, case narrative generation, regulatory change summarization, EDD report drafting, and audit-ready documentation.</li><li>Build scalable, automated analytics solutions that deliver high-quality, repeatable risk insights for Compliance leadership and regulators.</li><li>Apply AI-enabled techniques for text analysis, transaction pattern recognition, and workflow automation to surface actionable signals from high-volume data.</li><li>Build error handling, audit trails, regulatory-calendar awareness, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints into every production system before deployment.</li><li>Ensure all automations comply with data classification requirements for customer PII, regulated financial data, and cross-jurisdictional privacy obligations including GDPR and applicable AML data retention rules.</li></ul>Own governance and risk for Compliance AI systems<ul><li>Classify all automation builds by risk tier before work begins. No build goes to production without a named Process Owner, documented data flows, access controls confirmed, and regulatory impact assessed.</li><li>Maintain audit logging and documentation for all systems touching regulated data, SAR workflows, or sanctions-adjacent processes.</li><li>Halt or redesign builds that introduce unacceptable regulatory, legal, or data privacy risk. Own that decision and secure organizational acceptance before proceeding.</li><li>Serve as the Compliance domain representative in contributing to governance standards, model risk management, and cross-functional build alignment across the Automate Everything initiative.</li></ul>Multiply the Compliance team's capability<ul><li>Produce documentation, workflow templates, and runbooks that Compliance professionals can use and maintain without technical support.</li><li>Train Compliance team members on AI-assisted tools and workflows deployed in production. Drive adoption, not just delivery.</li><li>Track and report on automation impact: alert review time reduced, case throughput increased, regulatory report cycle time shortened, and analyst capacity unlocked for higher-risk work.</li><li>Act as a force multiplier for the Compliance team, enabling investigators and analysts to focus on high-judgment, high-risk decisions through process, technology, and AI enablement.</li></ul><h3>Skills you should HODL</h3><ul><li>8+ years of experience in Compliance operations, financial crime, regulatory technology, or a combined compliance and technical role with demonstrated senior-level execution.</li><li>Strong fluency with AI and workflow automation tools, with demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and driving adoption of AI solutions within Compliance or RegTech workflows.</li><li>Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered or automated workflows in a production environment used by others, not just experimentation.</li><li>Deep working knowledge of anti-financial crime (e.g. AML/CFT, sanctions, transaction monitoring systems), capital markets compliance (e.g. sales and trading, market conduct, transaction surveillance, conflicts management) and data privacy frameworks.</li><li>Systems thinker with a strong implementation mindset -- able to move from discovery to design to build to deployment to optimization without relying on external consultants.</li><li>Proficiency with AI tooling stack: n8n, Python, Claude API/Anthropic SDK, or equivalent. Experience connecting Compliance systems via API is required.</li><li>Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous compliance questions into clear, actionable, automated analysis.</li><li>Solid understanding of data classification, customer PII handling, and cross-jurisdictional compliance obligations including GDPR, BSA, FATF standards, and applicable AML data retention requirements.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. The Legal team provides legal and regulatory advice to ensure that all CDC products and services are compliant per local regulations while also meeting the needs of CDC customers. This 12-month fixed term role is based in London reporting to Head of Commercial, Employment and Litigation Counsel who based in Hong Kong.This is a fixed term contract for maternity leave cover, and you will be required to provide a good level support on a broad range of employment law matters impacting the EMEIA, USA, Canada and the Middle East regions. <h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><ul><li>You will be part of the <a href="http://Crypto.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc" target="_blank">Crypto.com</a> corporate legal team handling global employment matters (contentious and non-contentious) with a focus on the UK, EU, the Americas, Canada and the Middle East.</li><li>Drafting and reviewing employment documentation including employment agreements, incentive agreements, employment letters and other employment legal documentation, and provide solid advisory advice. </li><li>Conduct in depth legal research. </li><li>Work with external counsel to ensure our employment arrangements comply with local labour laws.</li><li>Liaising with stakeholders across multi-jurisdictional teams on various employment related issues. </li><li>Advising on issues such as compensation, incentives, share schemes, regulatory changes, discipline, performance management and termination exits to ensure compliance with applicable laws. You may be expected to assist on other corporate legal matters from time to time, including intellectual properties, general procurement, and data protection, if needed, but you are not expected to be an expert in these areas.</li><li>Maintain an awareness of legal developments in the employment law area. </li></ul></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><ul><li>Qualified lawyer NQ-2 years PQE (England and Wales) with district experience in employment legal work handling non-contentious and contentious employment issues in a major law firm, large multi-national corporation or equivalent. </li><li>Previous in-house experience is desirable.</li><li>Excellent English verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders across multi-jurisdictional teams. </li><li>Ideally experience of handling international labour and employment issues.</li><li>Strong organizational/project management skills, ability to handle high volume and balance competing demands.</li><li>Willingness to accommodate calls and meetings with different time zones when required.</li><li>Able to identify problems, issues and able to propose solutions.</li></ul></ul>We may use artificial intelligence tools to analyze the content of your Resume/CV against the specific requirements for the position.
