Director of Engineering - Blockchain and Rust

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Golden Gate. In this role, you will oversee our blockchain and Rust development projects. Your primary responsibilities will include code review, assisting in research, and writing documentation. You will also ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of engineers in developing blockchain and Rust-based  solutions.
• Review and approve code changes and ensure they meet the project's standards and best practices.
• Assist in research related to blockchain and Rust-based technologies and guide the team on technical decisions.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for all projects.
• Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure all development work aligns with the company's overall strategy.
• Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and contribute to their career development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of software development experience, focusing on blockchain and Rust-based technologies.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain technology and concepts, particularly Substrate.
• Proficient in Rust and experience with open-source development.
• Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects and teams.
• Strong mathematical skills, particularly in cryptography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of engineers.
• Passion for technology and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
