Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with significant experience in Rust and Substrate to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in implementing core features, improving the performance and reliability of the Golden Gate ecosystem, and working with the broader open-source community. You will also be a core developer and maintainer of multiple codebases written in Rust and be highly involved in the decisions related to the core software architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement core features and improve the performance and reliability of the Golden Gate ecosystem.
• Be a core developer and maintainer of multiple codebases written in Rust.
• Be highly involved in the decisions related to the core software architecture.
• Translate design orientations into actionable implementations.
• Make significant contributions to the technical directions of the engineering team.
• Work with the broader open-source community.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Significant experience in Rust and Substrate.
• Major interest in polyglot smart contract platform development in both the EVM and WASM.
• Major interest in zero-knowledge proofs.
• Major interest in IBC.
• Major interest in interchain communication protocols such as LayerZero.
• Strong hands-on experience in testing, e.g., test-centric software development processes (TDD, BDD).

• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Web3 enthusiasm and familiarity with use cases.
• Experience with Go (nice to have).
• Experience working on open-source projects.
• Experience collaborating in a distributed team.
