Who are we looking for

We are looking for an exceptional VP of Engineering to join our growing team as we scale up. This role will be based in Hong Kong Shen Zhen or Taiwan.

Here's how you'll be contributing: 

 Develop and execute on company technical missions and business goals, ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of exchange platform. 

 Build, mentor, and lead our technical team and aim to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. 

 Make clear, sound judgement of technology decisions 

 Identify and mitigate technological risks, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our systems and solutions. 

 Implement and oversee robust security protocols and stay ahead of emerging threats and industry trends. 

 Oversee the technology budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic goals while maintaining cost efficiency. 

Our technologies:

We are building a high performance microservice based product at its core. We are an exchange with real-time risk management systems. Languages and technologies that we are using: Go, Lua, Websockets, Tarantool, Timescaledb, Grafana. 

What we are building: 

● We are building a ultra low-latency exchange with off-chain orderbook and on-chain settlement 

● There are requirements for scalability, speed and general ACID parameters 

● We are working with A LOT of data 

Requirements: 

 Deep experience working with exchange engines, and low latency trading systems. 

 At least several years of proven experience in a similar role, ideally at a startup or fast-growing technology company. 

 Demonstrated track record of leading and scaling technology teams in high-growth environments. 

 Experience in high throughput, low latency systems and strong experiences with marketplaces and exchanges 

 Strong leadership and communication skills. 

 Experience in blockchain technology, including smart contracts and decentralized systems highly preferred. 

 Familiarity with relevant security and audit standards.

● Smart risk-taker: you weigh the trade-offs of major decisions in order to ensure that you are not putting the team at unnecessary risk
