Saito has a unique consensus mechanism which is unlike any other blockchain.
The consensus mechanism allows Saito to be both highly scalable and also completely open/decentralized. One way to think about Saito Consensus is that the mechanism pays node operators for their bandwidth, allowing Saito to move more data than any other chain. The whitepaper, which can be found on our website, goes into detail and we are also happy to discuss the details of the consensus mechanism on our Telegram or Discord for anyone that's interested to dive deeper.
Our team has secured a healthy runway with support from reputable funds such as Spark Digital Capital, DFG and Block Dream Fund by OKex. We have also launched an ERC20 via an IDO which is not only growing the Saito Foundation's capabilities, but also our community and brand.
We need a versatile, experienced Director of Engineering to lead from the front, get their hands dirty with algorithms and architecture, but also to take lead, inspire and bring the highest standards to everything we do. In this position you’ll assume responsibility for making Saito consensus live in code along with all of our technical efforts.
We have a network that was built as a proof-of-concept in Node.js that supports tens of thousands of daily transactions. The new Rust implementation (currently our primary focus) will serve as a high-performance backbone for the network moving forward.
Experience with TDD, Sprint Planning/Agile, Continuous Integration, high-performance/network applications, financial applications, systems programming, and Rust are all highly desired, but flexibility will be extended to those who have a track record of executing in uncertain environments or with high-level responsibilities.
We are focused on building working code that supports real-world use. We have a long-term vision and believe that the underlying technology will support a healthy growth curve if we focus on building the tech and getting real community engagement.
The right candidate is on path to a CTO positon in this role.
Location: Our team is located in Beijing and Phuket. Remote work is acceptable. While COVID makes travel impossible now, we prefer to work with candidates who are able to spend at least a month working on-site with us every year.
Remuneration and benefits are generous.
